A decade ago, Meyer had already established himself as one of the top coaches in college football. But his staffs consisted mostly of up-and-comers climbing the coaching ranks with limited resumes. Now, in his sixth season at Ohio State, Meyer’s staff is loaded with coaches who, if anything, are overqualified based on their credentials. Three of the coaches have extensive experience in the NFL, including a former head coach in Greg Schiano. Others have long proven themselves as master tacticians and/or recruiters in the college game.
