Emory Jones visiting Bama-FSU, Nesta Silvera firm to Miami: Ohio State football recruiting

COLUMBUS, Ohio — We’re starting this again with Emory Jones. Such is life when you’re Ohio State trying to keep a commitment from one of the nation’s top quarterbacks. Jones will be in Atlanta on Sept. 2 for No. 1 Alabama vs. No. 3 Florida State, the marquee game of college football’s opening weekend, according to a report from SECCountry.com. Technically it’s an unofficial visit for Jones, though neither Alabama nor Florida State can have contact with prospects attending the neutral-site game. Jones is from Franklin, Ga., about an hour from Atlanta. It makes sense that he’d want to stop in to see the Crimson Tide and Seminoles, two teams still recruiting him. This stuff with Jones and Alabama in particular doesn’t appear to be going away any time soon.
