Antwuan Jackson gets Buckeyes offer, Tyreke Smith sets decision date: Ohio State football recruiting

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s wait-and-see approach with junior college defensive tackle Antwuan Jackson took another step forward on Tuesday when Jackson announced an offer from the Buckeyes. Why is this offer a little different than all of the others? Well you might remember Jackson as the four-star defensive tackle from Georgia in the 2016 recruiting class who heavily considered the Buckeyes, but ultimately chose Auburn. You might also remember him as the former Auburn defensive tackle who transferred after one year, but was blocked from going to any other SEC school, Mercer, Clemson, Georgia Southern and Ohio State. Transfer blocks are bogus, but is was particularly strange that Auburn would block Jackson from transferring to Ohio State.
