Ohio State falls to No. 8 in AP Top 25 poll, Oklahoma up to No. 2: Buckeyes football news

COLUMBUS, Ohio — We knew Ohio State was going to fall in the polls after Saturday night’s 31-16 loss to Oklahoma, and that the Sooners would get a big bump for winning a top-five matchup on the road. Now we know how much they’ve both moved. The Buckeyes fell six spots to No. 8 in this week’s Associated Press college football poll. The Sooners moved from No. 5 up to No. 2. Alabama remained No. 1 in the AP poll, but Oklahoma (2) and Clemson (1) also received some first-place votes. Ohio State came in at No. 9 in the coaches poll, while the Sooners jumped up from No. 6 to No. 3.
