Receiver Trevon Grimes makes college debut in Ohio State's game vs. Army: Buckeyes football news

COLUMBUS, Ohio — If you were looking for some personnel changes coming off of Ohio State’s loss to Oklahoma last week, you found one at receiver. Freshman Trevon Grimes made his college debut on Saturday against Army. Grimes got in on the second series of the game, with the Buckeyes already holding a 7-0 lead. Grimes addition to the receiver rotation was needed with senior receiver Johnnie Dixon out of Saturday’s game. Dixon dressed, but was on the sideline without a helmet at the start of the game.  Grimes, who was the No. 6 receiver in the 2017 recruiting class, was once a five-star prospect. He lost that standing after suffering an ACL injury during his senior season at St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was one of three receivers Ohio State signed in the 2017 recruiting class, and the first of that group to play.
