Ohio State missed out on the College Football Playoff, but the Buckeyes still have a chance to cap the season with a win in a New Year’s Six bowl game. A day after beating Wisconsin, 27-21, to clinch the Big Ten title, Ohio State (11-2) earned a berth in the Goodyear Cotton Bowl against No. 8 USC (11-2). The bout is set for Dec. 29 in Arlington, Texas, at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN. Like Ohio State, USC capped its pre-bowl season by winning its conference championship. The Trojans dispatched Stanford, 31-28, on Dec. 1 to claim the Pac-12 crown. Ohio State and USC have played 23 times, with the Trojans holding a 13-9-1 advantage.
