106 Ohio State Athletes, Including 33 Football Players, Earn Fall Academic All-Big Ten Honors

A total of 106 Ohio State athletes on fall sports teams, including 33 Buckeyes from the football team, were recognized as Academic All-Big Ten honorees by the conference on Wednesday. To be eligible for the fall Academic All-Big Ten team, a student-athlete must be a verified member of a varsity fall sports team, have been enrolled at the institution for a minimum of 12 months and carry a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. Ohio State’s honorees are headlined by Jake Metzer, a sophomore punter on the football team, and Kelsey Nolan, a senior midfielder on the field hockey team, who are among 18 Academic All-Big Ten honorees who carry perfect grade-point averages of 4.0.
