Ohio State's Nick Bosa named AFCA first team All-American, gets a tree in Buckeye Grove

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Buckeye Grove has to make room for another Bosa. Joey Bosa was named a unanimous All-American in 2014. And on Wednesday, his brother, Nick, was named a first team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association. In order to get a tree in Buckeye Grove, an Ohio State player must be named a first team All-American by one of five lists considered “reputable” by the NCAA: the Walter Camp Football Foundation, the Associated Press, the Football Writers Association of America, The Sporting News and the AFCA. Nick Bosa had been a second-teamer on three of the lists, but earned his first selection as a first-teamer on Wednesday.
