Tate Martell worried Ohio State Co-OC Ryan Day will leave

With former Ohio State Buckeyes great Mike Vrabel taking the Tennessee Titans head coaching job, Buckeyes co-offensive coordinator Ryan Day could be on the way out to join his staff, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Redshirt freshman quarterback Tate Martell is hoping that isn’t the case and made his feelings known Sunday morning on Twitter: ? https://t.co/QbbdTxCTO0 — TATE MARTELL (@TheTateMartell) January 21, 2018 Martell, who is projecting the Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff next season, is battling Joe Burrow for Ohio State’s No. 2 quarterback spot behind Dwayne Haskins heading into spring practice a few months away. Martell was the Buckeyes’ scout team leader on offense as a freshman after coaches decided not to burn his redshirt midway through the season. Martelk, whose lead recruiter was wide receivers coach Zach Smith, has formed a close relationship with Day after one year in Columbus.
