Ohio State, Muirfield Village mourn loss of pioneer Pandel Savic

Savic passed away on Tuesday at the age of 92. Officials at Muirfield Village Golf Club, where Savic was the Memorial Tournament’s general chairman emeritus, announced the news of Savic’s passing.  Savic’s life experience would be worthy of a motion picture. He immigrated from Macedonia to the United States at the age of 9. He enlisted and fought with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II. He then enrolled at Ohio State, where he lettered three years in football from 1947-49.
