Lane’s sideline acrobatics lift Buckeyes
An incredible display of body control and awareness by fifth-year senior DB Shaun Lane helped Ohio State rally from a 14-12 deficit late in the third quarter. After Ohio forced a three-and-out, the Buckeyes punted to Mark Parson, who fumbled the ball along the sideline. Lane was first on the scene and dove, barely keeping both the ball and his body in bounds to secure the recovery at the Bobcats’ 25-yard line. Ohio State scored the go-ahead touchdown six plays later and never trailed again.
