Michigan held off a second-half Spartans surge to end Michigan State’s four-year winning streak. Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson led a final-minute drive down the field and a field goal gave the Wolverines a 12-10 win.
It was over when: Brendan Gibbons’ 31-yard field goal attempt sailed through the uprights with nine seconds remaining. The rivalry game went down to the wire, and at any given point an interception or fumble seemed as though it were on the horizon.
