Sometimes recruiting is all about depth charts. When it comes to athletes at the junior college level, the need to start almost immediately is magnified, as many have three years to play two seasons. Chad Mavety (Garden City, N.Y./Nassau Community College) knows all about that, but the 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive tackle is coming to Columbus, Ohio on an official visit on Nov. 22 for one reason. “I want to know what it’s like to be a Buckeye,” said Mavety, who will see Ohio State play Indiana that Saturday.
