The Ohio State Buckeyes had to regroup from the scandal that rocked their program last season. What better way to do so than hire a legend as your new head coach and find a talented young quarterback to build the team around?
Braxton Miller is not just a productive quarterback (124-of-218, 1,753 yards, 14 TD, 6 INT). He’s also the team’s leading rusher with 1,166 yards and 13 touchdowns on 184 carries. He will be the leader of the offense for at least one more season, possibly two.
The Buckeyes brought in Urban Meyer to replace the disgraced Jim Tressel. Perhaps that term is a bit extreme, but he tried to cover up a team violation and then lied about the cover-up.
Meyer is helping the team forget about the issues in the past, though. He has The Ohio State University at 10-0 and looking dominant. They’d be one of the top-ranked teams in the BCS rankings if they were eligible for postseason play.
