Urban Meyer continues to build on his already impressive recruiting class with top-notch recruits. The thing that’s so striking about the group of studs that Meyer rounded up in the 2013 class thus far is that it is his first-ever recruiting class at Ohio State. This builds optimism for the future of the program.
Meyer picked up yet another big-time recruit in linebacker Trey Johnson, who announced that he would play his college football at “THE Ohio State University” at halftime of Friday night’s Under Armour All-America game.
After putting on an Ohio State hat, the 6’2″, 218 lbs stud out of Lawrenceville, Georgia had an ear-to-ear smile on his face. He showcased his enthusiasm to become a Buckeye, and in so doing, he also built the enthusiasm of Buckeye fans.
Johnson is the third-ranked inside linebacker recruit in the country according to 247sports.com, and a top 100 recruit according ESPN.go.com. His highlights speak for themselves.
