Penn State’s 2012 squad will join elite company Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
As first reported by Onward State, the school will unveil the numbers “2012″ on the facade above the east stands Saturday. The facade only features teams that have gone undefeated, won national championships or won Big Ten championships. NCAA sanctions prevented the 2012 team from competing for a Big Ten title, but this team will be remembered forever in the stadium.
Penn State isn’t commenting on the tribute just yet, but the official Penn State football Twitter account tweeted a picture of the facade with a cloth over the spot where the “2012″ will appear.
