But McGloin’s walk-on roots are celebrated today as the Lions senior won the Burlsworth Trophy, given to a player who began his career as a walk-on. Michigan safety Jordan Kovacs and San Jose State offensive lineman David Quessenberry were finalists for the award.
McGloin was the most improved player in the Big Ten this season, at least in my view.
