My plan to build a super team and win the final two weeks of our Big Ten fantasy football league was foiled. Instead, it was Adam’s Trombone Shorties who looked super in Week 12.
Thanks to career days from Matt McGloin (31 points), Allen Robinson (37) and Kenny Bell (25), plus the usual strong performance of Taylor Martinez (22), the Shorties whipped Non-Gingervitis 149-129 to clinch the season title.
My pickup of Michigan’s Devin Gardner at receiver paid off, as Gardner accounted for six touchdowns and scored a week-high 45 fantasy points.
