Tressel A Tad Brighter This Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jim Tressel walked up the podium for his Tuesday news conference a tad brighter than normal.
The coach wore a scarlet jacket to talk about the school’s “Scarlet Fever” promotion this week.
OSU is asking all fans in Ohio Stadium to wear scarlet to the game, and since there’s a good chance for rain Saturday night, the coach even asked fans to bring a red poncho.
It’s the matchup of the Big Ten season Saturday night as No. 3 and unbeaten Penn State visits the Buckeyes. PSU has never won in Columbus since the Lions joined the Big Ten.
“It will be great for our fans to be a great part of this … can make an impact as we get ready for a great challenge,” Tressel said.
As for why Ohio State looked so improved last week versus Michigan State, he credited players and coaches.
“Scaled down conceptually what we wanted to do…executed better and gained confidence.,” he said.
On the injury front, it appears to be a good week for the Bucks. Boom Herron will return after two weeks missed from a concussion. Cornerback Chimdi Chekwa is expected to play after suffering a shoulder injury at Michigan State.
