Urban Meyer had to be impressed by Parris Campbell Jr. (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary) during the his team’s 42-21 Division III state championship victory. Now, the junior is a member of the 2014 recruiting class for Ohio State. Meyer and a handful of coaches were on hand for Campbell’s state championship game, and they were also there to watch ESPN Watch List junior Dante Booker play linebacker.

Update on 2014 LB Dante Booker
Dante Booker is amongst the top recruits in the class of 2014 according to 24/7 sports and will be a candidate for a 5 star rating on every recruiting site. Booker will also be playing tight end this upcoming fall along with linebacker. The Akron, Ohio native has some offers from some big time programs, and more is surely to come. “Right now I have offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Indiana, and Illinois”, said Booker. I think I’ll be getting offers from Michigan State and Pittsburgh as well eventually.” Booker hopes to get some offers from schools down south. He is excited about each one he gets, and is open to any school currently. Booker has already been to Ohio State, and will be visiting Michigan this weekend. I just exchanged a couple of messages with 2014 Buckeye linebacker target Raekwon McMillan, from Hinesville (GA), about his recruitment, and he had a couple of things to say I thought were worth noting. Raekwon and St. Vincent St. Mary’s (OH) linebacker, Dante Booker are the two linebacker targets the Buckeyes seem to be focusing on the most. Here is what Raekwon had to say: Raekwon has Ohio State, Georgia, and Alabama at the top of his list, but is keeping his options open. Visiting Ohio State for the Purdue game, October 20th. Plans on deciding sometime before his senior season. Plans on enrolling early at the college he decides to attend. Camping at Rivals 100 this summer.
