Da’Shawn Hand on Maryland visit, leaders
Da’Shawn Hand visited Maryland this weekend. The Terrapins have some work to do to land the ESPN Watch List prospect. Hand recently listed his five finalists and Maryland wasn’t on the list. North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Alabama, Michigan and South Carolina were. When Hand was asked what schools could climb up to finalists level, he immediately named Notre Dame and Ohio State. “Their coaching staff. Their academics,” Hand said when asked what he liked about the Fighting Irish.
Watch List OL Mustipher plans first visit
Class of 2014 OL Sam Mustipher has his first visit of 2013 scheduled. It’s no surprise that it’s a football powerhouse. The ESPN Watch List offensive guard from Olney (Md.) Good Counsel said he will visit Notre Dame on Jan. 19. The Fighting Irish are one of many schools that have shown strong interest in the 6-foot-4, 280-pound prospect. Coaches from Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, North Carolina, Penn State and Maryland all visited in December.
