COLUMBUS, Ohio — The notebook was filled after Ohio State’s senior advanced camp on Sunday, so much so that’s it’s overflowing. Here’s a look at some more news that came out of the camp as the Buckeyes move forward in what should be a very busy month. A big Bosa weekend ESPN 150 defensive tackle Joey Bosa (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) officially moved into his new residence in Columbus this weekend and his brother Nick, a 2016 defensive end, took part in Sunday’s camp.
Last weekend, the stars came out to see Ohio State. One ESPN Watch List junior after another watched the Buckeyes practice and the scarlet and gray picked up linebacker commitments from Sam Hubbard (Cincinnati/Moeller) and Kyle Berger (Cleveland/St. Ignatius). Signees from the 2013 class include defensive tackles Joey Bosa (Ft.
Joey Bosa (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) will stay in his home state this weekend for his all-star game, but the ESPN 150 defensive tackle will do so with the attitude that made him a state champion this season. A hard-nosed senior, Bosa joins an Ohio State fearsome five of Jalin Marshall, Marcus Baugh, Gareon Conley and Cam Burrows in the Under Armour All-America Game on Friday and will do so with the idea of proving his rankings are exactly where they should be.
Two Ohio State pledges that go to a school with the Raiders nickname headed into high playoff action over the weekend, both lived another week. Joey Bosa (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) brought his Raiders in as underdogs against Manatee — the nation’s No. 1 team in the ESPN 25 Power Rankings — and walked away a 35-18 winner in a Florida 7A semifinal playoff game. They’ll play Tallahassee Lincoln next week in a state final. Lincoln happens to be the team of Buckeyes target James Hearns, a Florida pledge.
