A couple of weeks ago, I thought Naples (FL) TE Mike Heuerman was a near lock to be a Buckeye. He had his brother playing for the Buckeyes, he had developed friendships with a few of the current players, and fits well in Coach Meyer’s offense. Last week, Mike decided to make a last minute visit to Notre Dame. Things went well on the visit (obviously) and from then on, I knew it would be a battle between the Buckeyes and Irish, though I still thought he would be a Buckeye. Next for Heuerman was a visit to the Ohio State Spring game, where he got to see 81,000 strong rooting on the Buckeyes, while developing relationships with fellow 2013 commits, Alex Anzalone and Joey Bosa.
