Interest is growing in Sam Mustipher
There have been so many recruiters who have stopped by Olney (Md.) Good Counsel that it’s tough to recall them all. “Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, North Carolina, Penn State, Maryland and a few others,” Sam Mustipher said when asked what schools have shown interest via coaching visits this month. The interest in Mustipher isn’t surprising. The ESPN Watch List offensive guard has 11 scholarship offers. His most recent came from Florida.
OG Sam Mustipher has SEC offer
Sam Mustipher has another top-flight school to consider. The offensive guard from Olney (Md.) Good Counsel picked up a scholarship from Florida on Tuesday, the junior said. The Watch List prospect now has 11 scholarship offers. Mustipher has expressed strong interest in Ohio State and Penn State. He also is lining up several visits for later this month and next spring. He said he plans to visit Notre Dame, Clemson, North Carolina and Wisconsin.
Recruiting Notes: Quick Sam Mustipher Update
Two-way linemen Sam Mustipher, from one of the most prestigious high school program in the country, Good Counsel (MD), is yet another 2014 player the Buckeye have set their sights on. Sam is standing out as the 2014 star player at Good Counsel, and gets to go up against star teammates Dorian O’Daniel and Kendall Fuller everyday this year, while getting to practice 2012 stars Stefon Diggs and Wes Brown last year. I will be keeping in touch with Sam as his recruitment progresses, so check back for more updates on him. Sam has been working to get better this off-season: “I’ve been getting better daily in the weight room and in position specific drills.” He has recently picked up offers from Hawaii and Rutgers.
