COLUMBUS, Ohio — It took 15 tries for Ohio State to finally get its first field goal of the game when C.J. Jackson drove to the basket with 11:09 left in the first half. The bad thing about the start to this game is that Ohio State made just four of 28 shots and turned the ball over seven times in the first half. In a must-win game, the Buckeyes trailed a team that came into the night on a 10-game losing streak 28-17 at halftime. The Buckeyes started the second half on a positive note getting the deficit down to five before Northwestern pulled away for good. The Buckeyes shot 26.6 percent for the game and for the second straight game put together an ugly performance falling 68-50.
