COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football team comes into Saturday’s game against Wisconsin as the best in the country in converting on third down. Its 56.10 percent conversion rate is the highest since 2014. But the Badgers’ No. 1 defense sits at the top of the nation in opponent third-down conversions at 16.13 percent. Both teams have stout defenses and high-level running attacks. On third down is where they’ll but heads. Either the Buckeyes will fail to have the success it’s had all season, and the Badgers can get their defense off of the field.
