NFL draft: Need a corner? Ohio State’s Jeff Okudah has everything covered


With the exception of his Ohio State teammate Chase Young, Buckeyes cornerback Jeffrey Okudah may be the safest pick in the draft. Young, the edge rusher who’s the highest-rated prospect in the draft, is expected to be selected second overall by Washington, his hometown team. Okudah, a native Texan who grew up in Grand Prairie, would love to play for his hometown team, the Dallas Cowboys, but he knows that’s not likely. The Cowboys have the 17th pick in the first round and they need a cornerback desperately, but Okudah is expected to be taken third overall by Detroit. “Yeah, I did grow up a Cowboys fan,” Okudah said at the combine. “I watched all the Cowboys games.
