What Jyaire Brown’s commitment means for Ohio State football: Buckeye Recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Something finally interrupted Ohio State football’s 2021 recruiting momentum Wednesday night — a 2022 commitment. New Orleans cornerback Jyaire Brown of Warren Easton High School became the Buckeyes’ first pledge for 2022. The player who calls himself “Hollywood” on his Twitter bio comes in over the handful of defensive back commitments the Ohio State staff has already locked down in 2021?s top-ranked class. Brown, who was only offered by Ohio State last week, certainly picked an opportune time to step into the spotlight. Some programs are still in the early stages of building their 2021 class. The list of programs with five or fewer recruits includes Oregon, Florida State, defending national champion LSU and Auburn.
