What’s more likely for Ohio State football: Chris Olave wins the Biletnikoff Award vs. Shaun Wade wins the Thorpe Award


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football program has routinely had one of the best defensive back rooms in the country under Kerry Coombs, while Brian Hartline has taken wide receiver recruiting to another level. Coombs returns to a room after a two-year stint in the NFL with one returning starter playing a new position along with a group of players who are either freshmen trying to carve out a role for themselves, or older players looking to finally break out in their third season. Hartline’s room is similar except he has two returning contributors. The talent in both rooms suggests that the best players in each should be in contention to be considered the best player at their position in the country.
