How Ohio State football’s February 2018 signing day told the Buckeyes’ future


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football expects little to no recruiting drama or surprises Wednesday on the first day of the late signing period. That was also the case on signing day in February 2018. Most of the Buckeyes’ 26-man class had signed in December. A couple of others were firm commitments. So when reporters met with Urban Meyer that day, much of the conversation centered on topics other than the incoming recruits. Beginning with the head coach, so much has changed and so much seems incredibly relevant three years later. • Meyer was asked about his longevity, and answered that he did not know from where that speculation originated.
