COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jameson Williams may have been the least-recognizable starter from Ohio State’s national runner-up team in 2020. Not much he could do about that. Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson piled up targets, leaving Williams to occasionally slip through as a deep-ball threat. “I really don’t look forward to other people crediting me, because I know it’s gonna come,” Williams said. Williams may not emerge from the spring with a starting job. Wilson confirmed Thursday he expects to move back outside to “X” receiver after playing mostly in the slot in three-receiver formations. He also insinuated the change resulted from the coaches’ desire to get slot man Jaxon Smith-Njigba on the field more.
