COLUMBUS, Ohio — It may have seemed that the Ohio State football program would cap its wide receiver intake in the 2022 recruiting class at two. The Buckeyes had found two quality players in Caleb Burton as a five-star, then followed up with Kyion Grayes in February, a late bloomer ascending the recruiting rankings. That seemed like enough to add to a room that was overflowing with five-stars and top-100 recruits over the past three cycles. Then Jameson Williams transferred to Alabama, potentially opening up a seat in Brian Hartline’s wide receiver classroom. Attrition is always a possibility when you recruit talent at the level Hartline has since being hired in 2019.
