Buckeyes in the NBA: Conley leads Utah to league's best record

The NBA regular season came to a close on Sunday. There are currently four former Ohio State men’s basketball players on NBA rosters with two of them now on teams scheduled to compete in the playoffs, which tip off on Tuesday night. Ohio State players in the NBA this season included: * Utah Jazz point guard Mike Conley, wrapping his 14th season as a pro; * Minnesota Timberwolves point guard D’Angelo Russell, completing his sixth season in the league; * San Antonio Spurs small forward Keita Bates-Diop, finishing his third year; and * Houston Rockets small forward JaeSean Tate, who was in his rookie year after spending two seasons playing overseas. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the NBA season was curtailed from 82 games to 72 games this season. From the teams above, the Jazz and the Spurs have qualified for the playoffs.
