Today: The quarterbacks Well, there’s no reason to avoid the obvious. Ohio State has a number of questions as it prepares for what is expected to be a much more normal 2021 football season after the COVID-related chaos of 2020. None is bigger than at quarterback. The Justin Fields era is over. Fields led Ohio State to the College Football Playoff in both his seasons, including the title game against Alabama last year. He threw for 63 touchdowns with only nine interceptions, completing 68 percent of his passes while adding a running threat. His toughness and leadership will also be sorely missed.
