Ohio State lands commitment from Louisiana scoring guard Cedric Russell

The news, which was first reported by Jeff Goodman at Stadium, comes after a whirlwind recruitment after the 6-2, 190-pound Russell entered the transfer portal June 30. He told 247Sports.com earlier this week that he had cut his list to five schools and would also be considering Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Marquette and St. John’s. He also planned to make an announcement “by the end of the week,” and Friday morning he called Ohio State coach Chris Holtmann and newly hired assistant Tony Skinn to commit to the Buckeyes.
