Penn State-Ohio State pregame: Lions’ offensive line on the spot, Buckeyes without talented runner, more


COLUMBUS – Greetings from the Ohio State press box. The underdog Penn State Nittany Lions and the Ohio State Buckeyes just finished their pregame warmups at Ohio Stadium. James Franklin’s 20th-ranked team is a 19-point underdog to the No. 5 team in the country and Penn State is also 2-12 in against the Buckeyes in Columbus since joining the Big Ten. Franklin is 1-6 vs. Ohio State and the hosts have won the last four meetings. Here are a few notes. Miranda, Scruggs back at their old spots. Penn State’s offensive line struggles, particularly in the run game, likely prompted the coaching staff’s decision to have Mike Miranda and Juice Scruggs flip-flop spots during the second half of the loss to Illinois at Beaver Stadium last week.
