
COLUMBUS, Ohio — For the first time since 2016, the Ohio State football team wasn’t preparing for the Big Ten Championship Game last week. The obvious downside for the Buckeyes was watching Michigan dominate Iowa on its way to the conference title and first College Football Playoff bid. The positive is that it provided OSU with something they haven’t had since Ryan Day arrived as an offensive coordinator and eventually promoted to head coach. Day and his coaching staff got the chance to spend an extra week out on the road ahead of the early signing period for the 2022 class.
