Ohio State football gets recruiting ‘gifts’ over the weekend as 3 top prospects trim their lists: Buckeyes Recruiting Roundup


COLUMBUS, Ohio – The recruiting trail hasn’t been the kindest to the Buckeyes as of late, with top targets choosing to stay home, or head elsewhere. But Ohio State did receive a few ‘gifts’ over the weekend, and we’re not just talking about DeaMonte Trayanum’s transfer commitment. The Buckeyes made the top schools lists for three key recruits: Jayvant Brown, John Walker and Nicholaus Iamaleava. Jayvant Brown, four-star LB Brown put Ohio State in his top seven on Christmas Day. The Buckeyes join Florida State, Florida, Penn State Michigan, LSU and Alabama in the hunt for his commitment. He trimmed down from a list of 17 schools. The 6-foot, 220-pounder out of Deerfield Beach, Fla., is the No. 13 linebacker and the No. 136 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the 247sports composite.
