Brian Hartline promoted to Buckeyes' passing game coordinator

The staff changes at Ohio State continue early on this offseason, although this one doesn’t involve a coach arriving to or departing the program. The Buckeyes announced on Sunday that assistant coach Brian Hartline is being promoted to passing game coordinator in addition to his role as wide receivers coach. As part of this promotion, Hartline will have increased responsibility with the offensive game plan going forward. He will work alongside head coach Ryan Day and offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson, as well as the rest of the offensive staff, to help formulate the Scarlet and Gray’s plan of attack offensively each week. “Brian is a dedicated Ohio State Buckeye,” Day said in a statement announcing the promotion. “He is the top wide receiver’s coach in college football and he has continued to develop as an offensive coach to the point where we want him to have more of an impact on…
