COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson sees the elements necessary to bring home the program’s first national championship since 2014. What he does not see, yet, is a cohesive, finished product. Two days after the Buckeyes held a preseason scrimmage, Wilson spoke of the his own personal drive to finally win a championship after close calls with Oklahoma and Ohio State. It has given him some perspective on the thin line between very good and unquestionably great. “I’ve been there knocking on that door,” Wilson said. “I want to help a group of kids that’s good enough knock the damn thing down.
