Ohio State running back Evan Pryor is expected to miss the season after suffering a knee injury in practice on Monday. The development, which was first reported by Rivals.com, leaves the Buckeyes thin on depth at the position with only three healthy scholarship running backs. Pryor redshirted as a freshman last season after appearing in four games. Ohio State’s running game, however, is in good hands with sophomore TreVeyon Henderson and and Miyan Williams. The duo combined for 1,756 rushing yards and 22 total touchdowns in 2021. They also combined to catch 38 passes out of the backfield. Henderson rushed for 1,248 yards and scored 19 total touchdowns last season, marking the second-most in school history for a freshman and his 19 TDs rank first among Ohio State freshmen and eighth among all players.
