CLEVELAND, Ohio – Originally from Northwest Indiana, Florida junior linebacker Elijah Melendez is seriously considering returning to the Midwest as he continues to grow his relationship with the Ohio State football program. Melendez, a four-star LB out of Osceola High School (Fla.), was offered back on Aug. 20 via Facetime, with his mother by his side. It’s a recruitment gaining steam in OSU’s favor, as assistant linebackers coach and former Buckeye standout James Laurinaitis had been building a connection with the Florida prospect for nearly three months. “They are all about relationships and building relationships,” Melendez told cleveland.com. “Every offer that they give out is a legitimate, committable offer.
