What do Ohio State’s past, and future, recruiting classes mean for the quarterback situation? Buckeye Breakfast


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s quarterback situation, at least for 2023, is something that appears to be solved. This week, Kyle McCord was named the starter by coach Ryan Day in a move that was expected after McCord’s performance against Youngstown State. Devin Brown will now serve as the backup, and though the coaching staff wants to get him playing time, he’ll likely only see major reps in the case of an injury or poor performance from McCord. And with quarterback in the transfer portal era, any long-term outlook of the quarterback position isn’t always easy to predict. But, at least in terms of talent, Ohio State’s quarterback room will be amongst the nation’s most talented in coming years.
