Ohio State fans clamoring for Braxton Miller finally got their wish. Briefly.
The freshman quarterback came in for one play in the second half with the Buckeyes down 17-6. It was a botched attempt to run, and Miller nearly lost the ball. Then he came right back out.
So, yeah, that didn’t work. But it was worth a shot, and maybe Miller should get more of a chance than that. It’s not like Joe Bauserman is playing well; the senior is 2-for-11, and both receptions have come from running backs.
I picked Miami in this game because I didn’t think Ohio State could make enough plays offensively. So far that’s been true. The Buckeyes might want to try something different facing a 17-6 deficit late in the third quarter.
