Ohio State lays egg at Miami

There’s no real shame in the fact Ohio State lost at Miami. But to get blown out and look so offensively inept in a 24-6 blowout? That’s bad. Really bad.

Maybe the saddest statement you could make is that the Buckeyes would have loved to have Jacory Harris as their quarterback Saturday night. The turnover-prone Miami signal-caller (two more interceptions and a lost fumble in this one) threw for 123 yards — or 110 more than Ohio State had until the final two, utterly meaningless plays.

We knew from last week’s Toledo game that the Buckeyes lacked explosive playmakers, especially in the passing game. But no one thought they were this lacking.
