Coconut Creek’s Binjimen Victor commits to Ohio State

Coconut Creek receiver Binjimen Victor has committed to Ohio State, the senior announced on Monday afternoon. “Going through this process was very tough for me but at the end of the day I can only further my college career at one school,” Victor wrote on Twitter. “For the next four years I will continue my academic and football journey at The Ohio State University.” Victor, a four-star recruit and U.S. Army All-American Bowl selection, chose the Buckeyes over Tennessee and West Virginia. Victor held 40-plus scholarship offers but had narrowed his finalists down to the Buckeyes, the Volunteers and Mountaineers as of this weekend. His decision to join the Buckeyes comes days after taking an official visit to Tennessee on Friday. Victor becomes the 19th member of Ohio State’s 2016 recruiting class, which is ranked third in the country according to 247sports.com. A key cog in Coconut Creek’s high-flying offense, Victor caught 42 passes for 846 yards and 15 touchdowns this season. With a combination of length and speed, Victor, who is 6-foot-4, 180 pounds, is ranked the 85th best player in the Class of 2016, the 12th-best receiver and 15th-best player in the state of Florida, according to the recruiting website 247sports.com. Victor is the second Coconut Creek player to announce a college decision in the last week, as fellow senior defensive back and three-star recruit Malek Young committed to Miami on Friday.
