Locals top OSU alums in Instant Classic

It was suppossed to be for fun. It was the prelude to the 38th annual Mansfield News Journal All-Star Basketball Classic at Lexington High School Thursday night. It wound up being a lot more than that. The “Instant Classic” game between the News Journal All-Star Alumni and the Ohio State Football Alumni/Driven Foundation turned into a rough and tumble, very physical basketball game. A total of 62 free throws were attempted in the game, and many more fouls were not called. In the end, the News Journal Alumni All-Stars pulled away at the end and came away with a hard-fought 95-78 win over the former footballers. “It always happens that way,” former OSU receiver Roy Hall said. “When you get a bunch of football players against a bunch of basketball players it’s going to get physical.
