Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer announced that running back Bri’onte Dunn has been dismissed for a violation of team rules. The fifth-year senior’s release stemmed from “an altercation with a female,” Jordan Strack of the Toledo-based WTOL reported. In three seasons with the Buckeyes, Dunn had 291 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 49 carries. He was in position to battle redshirt freshman Mike Weber for the starting job, Cleveland.com reports. Dunn’s best season came in 2012, when he rushed for a career-high 133 yards and a pair of scores on 25 carries over 26 games. –Six years of negotiations are about to make Atlantic Coast Conference schools and fans happy as the ACC soon will become the fourth of the five power conferences to have its own network. ESPN is reporting that the ACC and ESPN have agreed to a 20-year deal that includes the long-anticipated ACC cable channel and rights extension through the 2035-36 academic year. Details of the new ACC network are expected to be revealed Thursday during the conference’s football kickoff event in Charlotte.
