After picking up pledges from offensive lineman Max Wray and defensive back Josh Proctor, Ohio State’s spring game is still paying off on the recruiting trail. Weeks since returning back home to Georgia from his visit to the Columbus, OH campus, four-star defensive end Brenton Cox has verbally committed to Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes over Kirby Smart and his home state Georgia Bulldogs. Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, and Miami were among some of the other programs to pursue the peach state standout throughout the process. With Larry Johnson always looking to bring in fresh bodies on the defensive line, the 6’5, 250-pound Cox will add another dynamic pass rusher to the Buckeyes already stout defense.
