If the 2018 rankings are to be looked at this early in the year, Ohio State is currently sitting at number-four nationally with nine commitments including six in the top-100. Even though he falls outside the top-100, Toledo St. Johns four-star linebacker Dallas Gant is a player that has been high on the recruiting board since landing his Buckeye offer nearly one year ago. Gant is going to announce his college choice this coming Tuesday, May 16, at his high school at 3:30 p.m. He has listed Ohio State in his top-five, along with Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Penn State. While the Fighting Irish has done a good recruiting job with Gant, it certainly appears that Ohio State is going to be Tuesday’s winner.
